Who we are

Who or What is Hop Spot Crew, Inc.?

This is a question we are often asked. For many people not familiar with “Low Riders” (customized vehicles fitted with hydraulic or airbag systems), it may seem like it’s just a bunch of people standing around looking at cars. But if you really know what lowriding is about, you know it’s much more than that. It is a movement, a lifestyle that brings people together. It’s about family, unity, community, and giving back.

I have been around the lowriding culture for almost all my life, but I was reintroduced to it about three years ago. In that time, I’ve found a deep sense of fulfillment. It’s a culture that is often misunderstood and not celebrated.

When we formed Hop Spot Crew, we had a mission: to use our love for the lowriding culture to give back. We wanted to help others persevere and educate the community about what lowriding truly represents.

Since our establishment in 2018, we have worked tirelessly to support our community and those around us—through fundraising, Grab & Go’s (created during COVID-19 to support social distancing), food drives, and by supporting other clubs in their charitable efforts.

We are a remarkably diverse and inclusive organization. While lowriding is a passion of our founding members, our organization is open to anyone who genuinely wants to help others and make an impact with their time and efforts.

This is our end-of-year recap and our very first newsletter. I hope this is informative and motivates you to support our initiatives—whether by volunteering or donating.
